Dr. Michael Hare
Since 1996 Dr. Hare has worked for the Texas Department of Agriculture as a pesticide toxicologist.
Dr. Hare received his Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of Cincinnati and then worked six years in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Michigan State University on the neurotoxicity of methyl mercury. Dr. Hare received the Society of Toxicology, Board of Publications Award for the Best Paper in Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology in 1993. Dr. Hare also holds degrees from Texas A&M University (Experimental Psychology) and Mississippi State University (Forestry) and has published over 20 papers on the neurotoxicity of heavy metals.
Dr. Hare has spoken across the state on human health issues related to pesticide use and toxicity.
