I would like to introduce you to the First Annual Heart of Texas Green Expo happening June 8-9, 2012 in Bastrop, Texas at the new Bastrop Convention Center. This Expo will energize individuals, business and organizations seeking information, inspiration and innovation by envisioning a more sustainable, greener future. It will serve as a stimulus to move us in the direction of a culture that is both economically viable and ecologically sound.

We will facilitate the sharing of information on all things green such as green building, sustainable energy sources, and organic gardening, farming and ranching. In depth workshops will be provided. Featuring over 50 speakers and as many exhibitors, this event will prove to be the preeminent green expo in Texas. Live music and many kids’ activities will round out the event.

Bastrop is centrally located, just 25 miles east of Austin. Bastrop was founded in 1832 and is listed by the National Register of Historic Places as the “Most Historic Town in Texas”. We are a rural community yet we are considered to be part of the Greater Austin Metropolitan Area with a population of 1.7 million people. As you know, Bastrop County was recently home to what we refer to as the Lost Pine Forest Fires. We have much rebuilding and restoration to do in the coming months and years. We trust that this Expo will contribute to that effort.

The packet of information enclosed is being sent to three groups—potential Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Vendors. The theme for this first annual event is the four elements of Antiquity — Fire, Water, Air, and Earth — and how they affect our lives. Correspondingly, our Sponsorship Levels reflect this. Please review the multiple benefits of becoming a Sponsor for this event and consider assisting at this level. If you are not comfortable with sponsorship we’re sure the benefits of being an Exhibitor at this event will benefit your company or group.

Our Expo is THE platform to enable your organization to reach thousands of people through our media alliances in television and radio, social media, newspapers, billboards and educational flyers. We will advertise the Expo in major markets including Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston.
